Trinity Baptist Church, Chesham

Client: Trinity Baptist Church
Type of work: Lift refurbishment

Chesham’s strong association with Baptists dates back to the 17th century. Trinity Baptist Church – one of three Baptist churches in the town – is a Victorian building which at some point in its past had a lift shaft installed. At the rear of the unused shaft were glazed panels which still let a significant amount of light into the church interior.

When the church committee approached Lift Specialists, they asked us to design and install a DDA compliant lift which would be sympathetic to the building’s age and purpose, and would continue to allow daylight to freely enter the church interior. Our team of designers and engineers created a solution which answered this challenge perfectly, to the complete satisfaction of the community who work and worship at Trinity Baptist Church.
